The VMC Asian College Foundation, Inc., formerly VMC Caregiver
Training Center, Inc. was established on June 13, 2002 with SEC
Registration No. 651 primarily to provide an affordable yet comprehensive
six-month training course programs for local residents of Sultan Kudarat
and nearby provinces. The training center has been successfully
producing competent caregivers and is now the leading training center
for caregivers in Tacurong City and in the Province of Sultan Kudarat,
which has an estimated 90% market share in caregiver training services.
To date, most of the graduates are gainfully employed abroad mostly in
Canada, Hongkong, Singapore and Middle East.
VMC was founded and managed by Dr. Bonifacio E. Valdez the
College President, a Medical Doctor by profession, who has a big heart
for the destitute and needy children and youth who need social intervention
in order for them to be productive and useful citizens in their respective
communities. With this noble mission, he took up additional courses
to widen his perspective and upgrade his capabilities and competence
in managing an educational institution that offer various programs.
As an Educational Manager, he holds a Ph.D. Degree, on top of other
baccalaureate and Master’s Degrees.
He is ably assisted by his wife Dr. Elsa Arceo – Valdez, Executive Vice
President. She is a Medical Doctor by Profession and a Fellow in Philippine
Obstetrics and Gynecological Society. She is also the Medical Director of
Valdez Mother and Child Clinic and Hospital in Tacurong City.
The VMC Caregiver Training Center Inc. has now expanded its
operation in Koronadal City in South Cotabato. In just few years of
operation in this province, it drew and continues to draw a huge number
of enrollees. With its rapid growth, it is now the leading caregiver training
provider in South Cotabato area.
Having observed the dismal state of employment of college graduates
in Sultan Kudarat because of skills mismatch in the labor market, VMC
Management thought it wise to offer several TESDA accredited programs
to cope with the demands for vocational and technical employment in
the market locally and abroad. Today, VMC earns the credit of being a
TESDA Assessment Center in Sultan Kudarat.
For global competitiveness, it becomes imperative for the college to
